Simple Granola

Ingredients

  • 2 c. whole wheat flour
  • 6 c. rolled oats
  • 1 c. coconut
  • 1 c. wheat germ
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 c. oil
  • 1 c. honey
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 T. salt

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees.

  2. Combine in large mixing bowl: 2 c. whole wheat flour, 6 c. rolled oats, 1 c. coconut, 1 c. wheat germ

  3. Blend together separately: 1/2 c. water, 1 c. oil, 1 c. honey, 2 tsp. vanilla, 1 T. salt

  4. Add blended liquids to dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.

  5. Spread out on 2 greased cookie sheets and bake 1 hour, or until dry and golden.

  6. Store in covered containers

  7. Option: Using same liquids, but change dry goods to: 4 c. quick oats, 3 c. whole wheat flour, 1 c. wheat germ, 1 c. coconut, 1 c. nuts
