Skillet Lasagna

Serves 6 people

  • 1 pound extra lean ground beef
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cups egg noodles
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce, 28 oz
  • Romano cheese
  • Mozarella cheese


  1. In a large deep skillet or a Dutch oven, brown the beef, salting and peppering to taste. Drain and blot any grease with paper towels.

  2. Add remaining ingredients to the pan. Turn up the heat and bring the whole thing to a boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer on low till pasta is al dente.

  3. Serve with a sprinkling of two cheeses: grated Romano mixed with shredded Mozzarella.
