Cobb Salad

Ingredients

  • FOR THE DRESSING, WHISK:
  • 1⁄2 cup sour cream
  • 1⁄4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1⁄4 cup buttermilk
  • 2 Tbsp. hot sauce (such as Frank's)
  • 1 Tbsp. white wine vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. each minced fresh dill and chives
  • 2 tsp. minced fresh garlic
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • FOR THE SALAD, ARRANGE:
  • 8 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 3 cups diced cooked chicken breast or turkey breast
  • 1 1⁄2 cups halved grape tomatoes
  • 1 cup sliced celery
  • 1 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 6 strips bacon, diced and cooked
  • 3 hard-cooked eggs, peeled and quartered
  • 2 avocados, sliced

Directions

  1. For the dressing, whisk together sour cream, mayonnaise, buttermilk, hot sauce, vinegar, dill, chives, and garlic; season with salt and pepper.

  2. For the salad, arrange romaine on a large platter; top with chicken, tomatoes, celery, blue cheese, bacon, eggs, and avocado. Serve dressing with salad.
