Ingredients
- 1 pkg. cake mix, 2 layer size
- 1/2 cup shortening or butter (1 stick)
- 1 Tbsp. water
- 2 eggs
- Optional: 1 cup chopped nuts, flaky coconut, or chocolate or butterscotch bits
Directions

Empty half of cake mix into bowl and add remaining ingredients. Blend well. Add balance of cake mix and beat until smooth.

Blend in optional ingredients. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheets.

Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 375 degrees.
