Mom’s Brisket

Traditional Passover Seder

Serves 6 people

Ingredients

  • Brisket or Rump Roast 1-2 lbs
  • 1 package of Lipton's onion soup mix
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • water
  • 1 Green Pepper
  • 1/2 garlic clove

Directions

  1. Saute onions, garlic and peppers for 2 min. Put in meat and brown on all sides.

  2. Add lipton’s onion soup mix and 1 1/2 inch of water. Stir until soup is mixed. Then add 1/2 cup ketchup. Bring to a boil and simmer for 1 hour.

  3. After an hour, take out the brisket and slice. Put it back in the gravy and cook again bring to a slow boil. Then cook for another hour. Serve
