Basil- Pesto Dipping Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. finely chopped garlic
  • 2 Tbsp. Asian chili paste
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

  1. In a small saucepan, heat rice wine vinegar, water, brown sugar, chopped garlic, Asian chili paste and salt.

  2. Simmer, uncovered, over medium-low heat until creamy, 30 to 35 minutes. Cool to room temperature. Sauce keeps 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
