Shepherd’s Pie

Ingredients

  • 5 cups peeled cubed potatoes
  • 4 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 2 tsp canola oil
  • 1 cup peeled, sliced carrots
  • 3 cups cored, sliced cauliflower
  • 1 cup dices red or green pepper
  • 1/2 cup kasha
  • 1/4 cup dry red wine/sherry
  • 2 tsp dried dill
  • 1/2 tsp dried marjoram
  • 1 Tbs soy sauce
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 5 cups sliced mushrooms (about 12 oz)
  • 1/3 cup dry sherry
  • 1 1/2 Tbs soy sauce
  • 3/4 tsp dried marjoram
  • 2 1/2 Tbs cornstarch
  • pepper
