Basmati Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups rice
  • 2 Tbsp ghee (or butter)
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 3/4 cups water

Directions

  1. In saucepan, heat ghee and then add rice. Stir rice on medium heat for 1 minute. Add water and spices and bring to a boil. Cover and put on low heat to simmer for 18 minutes. Serve hot.
