Ingredients

  • Sandwich
  • 4 Tablespoons Kerrygold Pure Irish Butter
  • 8 slices TJ’s Rye Bread
  • 12 ounces TJ’s Fully Cooked Corned Beef, heated according to package instructions (seasonal)
  • 8 slices TJ’s Gruyere Cheese
  • 2 TJ’s Yellow Onions, sliced and caramelized
  • 8 Tablespoons TJ’s Sauerkraut with Pickled Persian Cucumbers
  • Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp TJ’s Real Mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp TJ’s Organic Ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp TJ’s Organic Sweet Pickle Relish

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, stir 2 tablespoons mayo, 2 tablespoons ketchup and 1 tablespoon relish together and set aside in refrigerator. Butter one side of each slice of rye. Place 2 slices of rye, butter side down in a frying pan on medium heat. Place 1 slice of cheese on each half of rye. Once the rye begins to turn golden and cheese starts to melt (about 2-3 minutes), carefully stack corned beef, then caramelized onions, then sauerkraut on one slice of the rye. Place the other half of the rye atop the sauerkraut with a spatula. Press the sandwich gently to adhere all ingredients together and heat an additional minute or two. Remove from pan, separate sandwich slices slightly and slather the sauce in the middle. Press slices back together, and cut sandwich in half. Repeat process for remaining sandwiches. Serve immediately.
