Bean ‘n’ Frank Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 1 (1 lb. 15 oz.) can Pork and Beans
  • 1/2 lb. American process cheese, cubed
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 1/4 tsp. chili powder
  • 5 frankfurters, sliced

Directions

  1. Cut off about 1 inch of top crust from breads; cut lower section ti within 1/2 inch of edge.

  2. Fry bacon until crisp; drain and crumble.

  3. Heat Pork and Beans with remaining ingredients in saucepan until cheese melts. Pour mixture into bread cavity; sprinkle top with bacon. Wrap in aluminum foil, bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. Slce to serve.
