Rice with Vermicelli

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chopped vermicelli
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cups converted rice
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 2 tbsp butter

Directions

  1. Toast vermicelli in butter in a large pot over high heat. Add rice, broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and kosher salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and stir; cover and cook until tender, 25 minutes. Let sit, covered, 5 minutes, then stir in butter; season with salt.
