Dessert Pizza

Serves 12 people


  • Dough:
  • 3/4 C shortening (part butter ,softened )
  • 1 C sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 2 1/2 C flour
  • 1 t baking powder
  • 1 t salt
  • Topping:
  • 1 8 oz. package cream cheese
  • 1/2 C sugar
  • Assorted fruits: pineapple, peaches, banana slices, grapes, nuts(chopped) strawberries, raspberries


  1. For dough , mix thoroughly shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Blend in flour, baking powder and salt. Cover and chill 1 hour.

  2. Divide dough in 2 equal parts. Roll dough onto pizza pan as with pizza dough Form a thin small crust. Bake at 375 for 12 minutes.

  3. After crust cools, add sugar and cream cheese together and blend. Spread over top of crust. For the decoration on the top, start in the center with fruit and continue around with different fruit. Top whole pizza with favorite jam or jelly.
