Slow Cooker Chicken n’ Dumplings

  • 1 lb Chicken breast
  • 2 cans cream of chicken soup (10.5oz)
  • 1 can chicken broth (14oz)
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 large pillsbury flaky layers OR original biscuits, or more or less if you want.
  • Garlic powder to taste
  • Salt and Pepper to taste


  1. Place chicken on bottom of crock pot. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder or whatever chicken seasonings you enjoy.

  2. Top with butter.

  3. Pour cream of chicken soup and chicken broth over top of all that.

  4. Top with diced onions.

  5. Cook on high 4-6 hours or low about 8 hours.

  6. After desired cooking time has passed, remove chicken from crock pot and shred.

  7. Return chicken to crock pot and stir into soup mixture.

  8. Cut the biscuits into 6 pieces, or cut them to the size you desire.

  9. Add to crock pot and stir.

  10. . Continue to cook about an hour.
