tomato aspic

Ingredients

  • 1 qt tomatoes pureed
  • 2 pkgs lemon jello
  • 2 T vinegar
  • hard boiled eggs, green pepper, onions, peas
  • basil mint mayo ingredients
  • 2 C mayonnaise
  • ! C of packed, fresh basil chopped
  • 2 T packed, fresh mint chopped
  • 1 t grated lemon peel
  • 1 clove garlic crushed

Directions

  1. heat pureed tomatoes

  2. add jello and vinegar

  3. let thicken slightly

  4. put green pepper, etc in bottom of pan

  5. add jello

  6. refrigerate

  7. basil mint mayo

  8. mix together and refrigerate
