Kahlua Cake

Ingredients

  • Cake:
  • 1 (2-layer) package yellow cake mix
  • 1 (3.4-ounce) package chocolate instant pudding mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup Kahlua
  • 1/3 cup vodka
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup water
  • Glaze: (Note: I don’t use the glaze. It’s just too much for me.)
  • 1/4 cup Kahlua
  • 1/2 cup confectioner’s sugar

Directions

  1. Pre heat oven to 350 degrees

  2. Combine cake mix, pudding mix, eggs and oil in a mixing bowl and beat until smooth.

  3. Add 1/3 cup Kahlua, vodka, sugar and water and mix well. Batter will be thin.

  4. Spoon into a greased and floured Bundt pan. (I use cooking spray) Bake for 50 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  5. Cool in pan for several minutes. Remove from pan to a cake rack to complete cooling, or if using glaze, spoon over warm cake.

  6. For the glaze:

  7. Mix ¼ cup Kahlua and confectioner’s sugar in a bowl. Spoon over warm cake.

  8. Let stand until cooled.
