Brunswick Stew

  • 3/4 lb. ground beef
  • 3/4 lb. ground pork
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 stalk celery, chopped
  • 3/4 lb. cooked chicken breasts, shredded or chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 14.75 oz. can cream-style corn
  • 14.5 oz. can diced tomatoes, with juices
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup hickory barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp hot sauce


  1. Cook beef, pork, onion and celery in a large skillet over medium heat, stirring and breaking up any large pieces, until meat is browned. Drain off grease, then transfer meat mixture to a slow cooker. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on LOW 6 hours.
