Steak & Fries Salad

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp. sugar
  • 2 tbsp. canola oil
  • 1 to 2 tbsp. malt vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tsp water
  • 1 cup frozen French-fried potatoes
  • 1/2 lb. beef top sirloin steak
  • 3 cups torn iceberg lettuce
  • 1/3 cup chopped tomato
  • 1/4 cup chopped red onion
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella

Directions

  1. For dressing, whisk first 4 ingredients until sugar is dissolved. Cook French-fried potatoes as directed.

  2. Meanwhile, place a skillet coated with cooking spray over medium heat. Add steak; cook until meat reaches desired doneness, 5-6 minutes per side. Remove from heat; let stand 5 minutes before slicing.

  3. To serve, divide lettuce, tomato and onion between two plates; top with potatoes, steak and cheese. Drizzle with dressing.
