Italian Sausage Meatball Sandwiches

  • 1 lb. Italian sausage
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3 large spoonfuls ricotta
  • Marinara sauce
  • Crusty bread
  • Grated Parmesan


  1. Preheat oven to 475. Grease a cooking sheet with cooking spray.

  2. Remove the casings from sausages and combine the meat with bread crumbs, egg and ricotta.

  3. Using your hands, form the mixture into 1 1/2-inch balls.

  4. Place the meatballs on the cookie sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes. While the meatballs are cooking, heat some marinara sauce.

  5. Serve the meatballs and sauce with or on top of pieces of crusty bread with grated Parmesan.
