Scalloped Potatoes with ham in crock pot

Was too salty first time I made this so I deleted the salt from the mixture. Test for taste with the 1 tsp salt called for in the white sauce w cheese

Serves 6 people

Ingredients

  • 6 cups raw potatoes cut into small cubes
  • 1 medium onion, minced
  • 1/2 pound cooked ham, cubed
  • 4 Tbsp butter
  • 4 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt or less
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Directions

  1. Layer potatoes, onion, 1 tsp salt, and ham into slow cooker

  2. Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in flour and 1 tsp salt

  3. Cook until bubbly.

  4. Gradually add mild.

  5. Cook until smooth and thickened

  6. Add cheese and stir until melted.

  7. Pour over potato ham mixture, stirring lightly.

  8. Cover and cook on low 6-7 hours or High 3-4 hours
