Green Beans With Celery Bacon Sauce

Ingredients

  • 6 cups green beans, fresh
  • 4 bacon strips, diced
  • 1 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 can condensed cream of celery soup
  • 1/2 cup milk

Directions

  1. Place beans in a large saucepan and cover with water: bring to a boil. Cook, uncovered, for 8-10 minutes or until crisp-tender; drain and set aside.

  2. In a skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove to paper towels; drain, reserving 2 tbsp drippings. Saute onion in drippings until tender. Stir in undiluted soup and milk until blended; heat through. Spoon over geans. Spriingle bacon over top.
