(from castro15’s recipe box)

Categories: Desserts

Ingredients

  • 12 (8-inch) wooden skewers
  • 6 Granny Smith apples
  • 6 Fuji apples
  • 16 oz. package chocolate flavored candy coating, melted as directed
  • Toppings: candy-coasted peanut butter pieces, assorted sprinkles

Directions

  1. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper.

  2. Insert skewers through stem end of apples into cores. Pour candy coating into a medium, deep bowl. Dip apples, one at a time, into candy coating, rolling to coat almost to top of apple; let excess drip off. Roll bottom-third of apple in candies and sprinkles as desired. Let stand on prepared pan until chocolate is fully set. Refrigerate for up to 3 days.
