Roasted Tomato-Garlic Sauce

Ingredients

  • 28 oz. can unsalted whole tomatoes
  • Cooking spray
  • 6 smashed, peeled garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp. fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 tbsp. fresh oregano leaves
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 3/8 tsp kosher salt

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425. Drain and halve tomatoes; place on a foil-lined baking sheet coated with cooking spray. Top with garlic, thyme, oregano and red pepper. Drizzle with olive oil. Roast 30 minutes. Cool 10 minutes. Transfer to a blender; blend until smooth. Stir in salt.
