Cheesy Skillet Gnocchi

Ingredients

  • 17.5 oz. package potato gnocchi
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • Black pepper
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup shredded gruyere
  • Chopped chives, for topping

Directions

  1. Boil gnocchi as directed. Reserve 1/4 cup cooking water; drain. Simmer heavy cream, garlic, salt, pepper and nutmeg in an ovenproof skillet, 5-8 minutes. Stir in the gnocchi and thin with the cooking water. Top with gruyere. Broil until golden, 3-4 minutes. Top with chives.
