French Silk Chocolate Pie

Ingredients

  • CRUST
  • 15-oz. pkg. Pillsbury All Ready Pie Crusts
  • 1 t flour
  • FILLING
  • 3 oz. (3 squares) unsweetened chocolate
  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 11/2 t vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • Whipped Cream
  • Chocolate curls

Directions

  1. at oven to 450. Prepare pie crust according to package directions for unfilled one-crust pie using 9-inch pie pan. (Refrigerate remaining crust for later use.)

  2. Bake at 450 for 9 to 11 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool.

  3. In small saucepan, melt chocolate; cool. In large bowl, cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy.

  4. Blend in chocolate and vanilla. Add eggs one at a time, beating at medium speed 5 minutes after each addition.

  5. Pour into cooled baked crust.

  6. Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.

  7. Garnish with whipped cream and chocolate curls. Store in refrigerator.
