Mustard-Grilled Cheeseburgers

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 lb. ground sirloin
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/3 cup Dijon
  • 8 slices extra-sharp white Cheddar
  • Toasted burger buns, thinly sliced red onion and yellow mustard, to serve

Directions

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Brush grill grates with olive oil.

  2. In a large bowl, combine beef, sirloin, dry mustard, and salt. Divide mixture into 8 portions, and shape each portion into a 5-inch patty.

  3. Grill patties, with grill lid closed, for 2 to 3 minutes per side, brushing with Dijon during last 1 minute. Remove from grill; top each patty with cheese and let stand for 1 minute. Serve 2 patties on each bun topping with onion and yellow mustard.
