The Best One-Bowl Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter unsalted, 2 sticks
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips semi-sweet or dark, divided
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar granulated
  • 3/4 cup sugar brown
  • 1 tablespoon extract vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 eggs large
  • 1 1/4 cups flour all-purpose
  • ⅓ cup cocoa powder dark
  • nonstick cooking spray

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).

  2. Add the butter and 1 cup (175 g) of chocolate chips to a large microwave-safe bowl.

  3. Microwave for 1½ minutes, then let sit for 3 minutes before whisking together.

  4. Add the granulated and brown sugars, vanilla, and salt.

  5. Whisk to combine.

  6. Whisk in the eggs until fully combined.

  7. Sift the flour and cocoa powder into the bowl and fold in with a spatula.

  8. Add the remaining chocolate chips and fold to incorporate.

  9. Line a 9-inch square baking pan with parchment paper and grease with nonstick spray.

  10. Spread the batter evenly in the pan.

  11. Bake for 35-40 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs attached.

  12. Let cool completely before cutting.
