Deviled Swiss Steak

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs sirloin steak cut in 2 x 3 in ch pieces
  • 1 c sliced onions
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 3 tbs oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • flour, paprika
  • 2 c canned whole tomatoes
  • 1 c water
  • 2 tbs worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbs dry mustard
  • 1 tbs brown sugar

Directions

  1. Saute onion and garlic in hot oil. Dredge meat in flour and saute on both sides just until browned. Mix remaining ingredients in bowl. Pour mixture over meat, lower heat and simmer 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
