Candy Cane Snowballs

Ingredients

  • 2 cups butter, softened
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chopped toasted pecans
  • 8 oz. white candy coating, melted
  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup crushed candy canes

Directions

  1. Cream butter, sugar and vanilla until fluffy. Gradually beat in flour. Stir in pecans. Chill, covered, until firm enough to shape, 3-4 hours.

  2. Preheat oven to 350. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.

  3. Bake until lightly browned, about 15 minutes. Remove from pans to wire racks; cool completely.

  4. Dip tops of cookies into melted candy coating; dip into crushed candy.
