Red Chutney

Ingredients

  • 15 oz. can whole peeled tomatoes
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 red serrano pepper, chopped
  • 1 large garlic clove, chopped
  • Juice of 1 lemon or lime
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt

Directions

  1. Drain tomatoes in a fine-mesh sieve, crushing the tomatoes with your hands and squeezing out excess moisture. Combine the tomatoes, bell pepper, serrano, garlic, lemon (or lime) juice and salt in a blender or food processor. Pulse until blended but not pureed.
