honey lime chicken

can be used as a frozen dish too

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breast cut into strips
  • 1 1/2 tea garlic salt
  • 1 table oil
  • 20 oz can pineapple tidbits and juice-keep
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 table soy sauce
  • 2 tea cornstarch

Directions

  1. cut the chicken into strips or bite sized pieces and sprinkle with garlic salt

  2. heat oil on med hi and add chicken

  3. cook chicken til brown

  4. drain pineapple juice into a bowl

  5. add 1/4 cup of pineapple juice in skillet

  6. cover and simmer 6-8 min

  7. remove chicken from pan

  8. add honey, lime juice, soy sauce, cornstarch and the rest of the pineapple juice

  9. bring to boil and stir constantly

  10. cook and stir til thick and clear

  11. add chicken and pineapple tidbits last and heat through

  12. serve over hot rice and a garnish if you want

  13. to freeze cook as directed then cool and add to gallon size freezer bag label and freeze
