IHOP’s Buttermilk Pancakes

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/4 cups buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup cooking oil

Directions

  1. Preheat your pan by leaving it over medium heat while you are preparing the pancake batter.

  2. Take all of your dry ingredients and mix them together.

  3. Take all of your wet ingredients and mix them together.

  4. Carefully combine the dry mixture into the wet mixture until everything is mixed together completely.

  5. Melt some butter in your pan.

  6. Slowly pour batter into the pan unil you have a 5-inch circle.

  7. Flip the pancake when its edges seem to have hardened.

  8. Cook the other side of the pancake until it is golden brown.

  9. Repeat steps 6 through 8 until your batter is finished.

  10. Serve with softened butter and maple syrup.
