Granola

Ingredients

  • 7 cups rolled oats
  • 2 cups nuts and seeds (mix any combination of cashews, pecans, almonds, walnuts, pumpkin sededs, sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup good quality honey/molasses
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 cup raisins/other dried fruit

Directions

  1. Thoroughly mix all the ingredients except the raisins and dried fruit in a large roasting pan

  2. Bake for 20 – 25 minutes, stirring the mixture every five minutes or so to prevent burning.

  3. Granola is done when it is a light golden brown through out

  4. Remove from oven and let cool. If you like your granola loose and separated, immediately break it up with a large metal spoon. If you want it chunkier let sit a few minutes longer.

  5. Stir in dried raisins. Can add wheat germ.

  6. Store in an airtight jar.
