Nut and Fruit Breakfast Bites

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup reduced-calorie margarine, soft
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/4 cup dried mixed fruit, such as raisins, apples and cranberries
  • 1 cup uncooked quick oats
  • 1 3/4 cup uncooked old fashioned oats, coarsely crushed
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts

Directions

  1. Combine margarine, sugar and honey in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil; boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat; stir in remaining ingredients.

  2. Press mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch square baking pan coated with cooking spray. Allow to cool and then cut into 16 pieces. Store in a covered container in the refrigerator.
