Cracker Barrel Fried Apples

Ingredients

  • 8 red apples
  • 1/4 lb. butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Dash of nutmeg

Directions

  1. Do not peel the apples. Slice the apples into slices about 1/2-inch thick.

  2. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the apples and sugar to the skillet. Place a lid on the skillet and cook for 20 minutes, or until the apples are tender and juicy.

  3. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg before serving.
