(from castro15’s recipe box)

Categories: Slow Cooker

Ingredients

  • 11 or 13 oz. pkg. refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella, divided
  • 1/2 cup thick pizza sauce
  • 1 cup of less favorite pizza toppings

Directions

  1. Divide dough in half. Roll and/or stretch each piece of dough into an oval to match the size of the bottom of the crock.

  2. Place 1 dough oval in greased slow cooker, pushing and stretching it out to the edges. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup mozzarella.

  3. Place the other dough oval on top of the cheese, stretching it to the edges of the slow cooker.

  4. Cook, uncovered, for 1 hour on HIGH. Dough should be puffy and getting brown at edges.

  5. Spread pizza sauce on top. Sprinkle with remaining 1 cup cheese and any toppings you wish.

  6. Place lid on cooker with chopstick or wooden spoon handle to vent it at one end.

  7. Cook on HIGH for additional hour, until toppings are heated through.
