Grandma’s Dressing

Ingredients

  • 1 box of Jiffy Cornbread Mix
  • 1/2 loaf of White Bread
  • Egg
  • Celery
  • Onion
  • Parsley (Curley)
  • Garlic (4 Cloves)
  • Chicken Bouillon Cubes 2
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Thyme 1/2 tsp
  • Poultry Seasoning
  • Ketchup
  • Hot Sauce

Directions

  1. Toast 1/2 Loaf of White Bread

  2. Make 1 box of Jiffy Cornbread

  3. Crumble Jiffy Cornbread and White Bread

  4. Saute Celery, Onion, and Garlic and add to cornbread mix and stir

  5. Season mixture with salt, pepper, thyme, poultry seasoning, and parsley

  6. Crack 1 egg over mixture

  7. Splash of Ketchup

  8. Splash of hot sauce

  9. Add the mixture to a greased baking dish

  10. Pour Chicken Broth over mixture and cover with aluminum foil

  11. Cook at 350 degrees for 40 minutes

  12. Check at 20 minute mark. If it looks dry add more broth.

  13. Check again at 30 minutes
