Heart stopper Mac & Cheese

Serves 10 people

Ingredients

  • 3/4 C plain bread crumbs
  • 4 tbls melted butter unsalted
  • 3 C fresh grated cheddar
  • 3 C Gruyere
  • 1 # pasta
  • 1/3 C butter unsalted
  • 1/3 C flour
  • 3 C whole mile

Directions

  1. Pre heat oven to 350F

  2. Mix 4 tbls melted butter with bread crumbs, set aside.

  3. Boil the pasta of your choice in salted water, but lets be real here. No noodles

  4. Drain, rinse, set aside

  5. In the same pot over medium heat

  6. Add 1/3 cup butter – melt

  7. Slowly stir in the flour…you’re making a roux. Cook for 45 seconds when combined.

  8. Slowly stir in milk. Do not scald

  9. Wisk, wisk, wisky, wisk, wisk for about 6 mins until thickened.

  10. dump in the CHEESE! turn off heat and remove pan from burner.

  11. wisk, wisk, wisk until cheese is melted

  12. Pour in buttered 9×13 pan or something of that size

  13. Sprinkle on bread crumbs to your liking

  14. Bake uncovered until bubbly and bread crumbs are browned.
