Ingredients

  • 3 lbs. ground chuck
  • 5 tbsp sun-dried tomato paste
  • Kosher salt
  • 4 oz. crumbled goat cheese
  • 3 minced garlic cloves
  • 3 tbsp torn fresh basil
  • 2 tsp garlic salt
  • 12 whole sun-dried tomatoes packed in oil, chopped in half
  • 6 slices of goat cheese
  • 6 Kaiser rolls
  • 1/2 cup mayo
  • 24 large fresh basil leaves

Directions

  1. Mix first 7 ingredients into a bowl.

  2. Form the ground chuck into twelve 4 oz. balls. Turn each ball into a patty by using the STUFF side of a burger press to push it down.

  3. Fill half of the patties with 2 whole sun-dried tomatoes and 1 slice of goat cheese.

  4. Place the other patty on top of the stuffed patty.

  5. Use the seal side of the burger press to keep the two patties in place. Close the press firmly, which will seal the patties together. Release the press.

  6. Put the patties on the grill and cook for 6 minutes on each side.

  7. Grill over medium heat for 6 minutes on each side.

  8. Spread mayo on a roll and garnish with 2 basil leaves on the top and bottom of the burger and then apply the bun.
