Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
  • 3/4 tsp plus 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp plus 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 2 oz. feta
  • 4 red onion slices
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 crusty sourdough bread slices
  • 4 tsp Dijon
  • 12 plum tomato slices

Directions

  1. Combine the ground beef and 3/4 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper into a bowl.

  2. Form the ground beef mixture into eight 4 oz. balls. Turn each ball into a patty by using the STUFF side of the burger press to push it down.

  3. Fill half of the patties with a slice of feta in the center of each patty.

  4. Place the other patty on top of the stuffed patty.

  5. Use the SEAL side of the burger press to keep the two patties in place. Close the press firmly, which will seal the patties together. Release the press.

  6. Place onions in a pan and cook for 4 minutes with olive oil and the rest of the salt and pepper.

  7. Put the patties on the grill and cook for 6 minutes on each side.

  8. Serve on a bun and top with spread the Dijon. Top with an onion and tomato on top of the burger patty.
