  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • 16 oz. loaf frozen whole wheat bread dough, thawed
  • 1/3 cup prepared basil pesto
  • 1/3 cup roasted red bell peppers, drained, patted dry, and chopped
  • 1/3 cup + 1 tbsp finely shredded Parmesan

  1. Coat a 13×9-inch baking pan with cooking spray. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough into a 12×8-inch rectangle. Spread pesto over dough to within 1 -inch of long edges. Sprinkle roasted peppers and 1/3 cup of the cheese over pesto. Starting from a long edge, roll up rectangle into a spiral. Pinch dough to seal seam. Slice roll into 12 pieces. Arrange pieces in prepared pan. Cover; let rolls rise in a warm place until nearly double in size, 30 to 45 minutes.

  2. Preheat oven to 375. Uncover rolls; sprinkle with remaining 1 tbsp cheese. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately remove from pan; serve warm.
