  • 24 ounce jar of pasta sauce (I used Classico brand with tomatoes and Basil.)
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 25 ounce bag of frozen cheese ravioli
  • 1 clove minced garlic (optional)
  • 1/4 large onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon minced basil
  • 1 teaspoon minced oregano leaves
  • 1 tablespoon minced parsley
  • 2 cups shredded Italian style cheese (I added extra mozzarella that I had.)

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray 9 × 13 inch pan with non-stick spray.

  2. Brown ground beef in skillet. Drain.

  3. Add 2/3 of the sauce to meat. Also add the onion, garlic, basil and 1/2 of the parsley. Simmer 10 minutes.

  4. Pour the remaining sauce in the bottom of casserole dish. Next layer frozen ravioli (rinsed the ravioli to add some moisture and help separate them).

  5. Top with 1/2 of the meat sauce and top with 1/2 of the cheese. Layer ravioli again, meat sauce and cheese. Sprinkle with the remainder of the parsley.

  6. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes, remove foil and bake for 15 more minutes. Let sit 5 minutes before serving
