Apple butter. In Slow Cooker

Ingredients

  • 5 pounds apples(mixed-gala ,honey crisp, Granny Smith etc)
  • 3 c white granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 t cinnamon
  • 1/2 t nutmeg
  • 1/2 t cloves

Directions

  1. Cut apples into 1 inch cubes

  2. Put apples and 1 1/2 c sugar in slow cooker

  3. Cover and cook on high 6 hours

  4. Then

  5. Stir n spices and remaining 1 1/2 c sugar

  6. Cook on low about 4 hours

  7. Place 1/2 apple mixture in blender and remove center vent

  8. Cover vent with towel etc and pulse until desired texture

  9. Repeat with remaining apple mixture.

  10. Cool
