Macaroni & Cheese

Ingredients

  • 2 C Milk
  • 2 Tbsp Butter
  • 2 Tbsp Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper
  • 1 10 oz block Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/4 tsp ground Red Pepper
  • 1/2 16oz pkg Elbow Macaroni, cooked

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400

  2. Microwave milk on high for 1 1/2 minutes

  3. Melt butter in large skillet or dutch oven over medium-low heat.

  4. Whisk in flour until smooth

  5. Cook whisking constantly for 1 minute

  6. Gradually whisk in warm milk & cook, whisking constantly for 5 minutes until thickened.

  7. Whisk in salt & black pepper, 1 C shredded cheese & red pepper until smooth.

  8. Stir in pasta

  9. Spoon into a lightly greased 2 qt baking dish

  10. Top with remaining cheese

  11. Bake at 400 for 20 minutes or until golden & bubbly
