Mexican cheese dip

Ingredients

  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 (4-ounce) can diced green chilies, drained
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Sliced jalapeños for garnish (optional)
  • Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish (optional)
  • Tortilla chips for dipping

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, shredded Mexican blend cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, diced green chilies, ground cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  3. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.

  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the dip is hot and bubbly.

  5. If desired, garnish with sliced jalapeños and fresh cilantro leaves.

  6. Serve hot with tortilla chips for dipping.
