Caramel Sauce

Makes 1 C of sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/2 C packed brown sugar
  • 1 T corn starch
  • 1/4 C water
  • 1/3 C half-n-half
  • 2 T corn syrup
  • 1 T butter
  • 1/2 t vanilla

Directions

  1. In saucepan combine brown sugar & starch

  2. Stir in water

  3. Stir in half-n-half & corn syrup

  4. Cook, stirring, until bubbly—then 2 more minutes

  5. Remove from heat

  6. Stir in butter & vanilla
