BBQ Baby Back Ribs

Ingredients

  • 1/3 lbs. Bacon, cut into one-inch pieces
  • 1 Large Onion, diced
  • 1/2 tsp. Garlic, minced
  • 60 oz. Bottle of Ketchup
  • 1 tsp. Dry Mustard
  • 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/3 cup Molasses
  • 1/4 cup Balsamic Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp. Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp. Tabasco
  • 1 tsp. Liquid Smoke
  • 5-6 lbs. Baby Back Ribs
  • 1 tbsp. Cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup Water

Directions

  1. In 14" Dutch oven cook bacon until white is clear. Add onions and garlic and saute until onions are clear. Use about 24 to 30 coals on the bottom. Add remaining ingredients except ribs, cornstarch and water. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring often. Add ribs and cover with lid. Put 17 coals on lid and 11 coals on bottom. About 350 degrees. Cook for 45 minutes and change all coals top and bottom. Cook for 1 hour and check meat temperature, it should be 165 degrees. Remove ribs and set aside. Add cornstarch to water, mix well and add to oven slowly as you stir in. Cook for 5 minutes. Pour over ribs.
