- 430g can beef consommé
- dry red wine
- x 400g cans whole tomatoes
- oil
- Flour
- garlic
- celery
- large onions
- carrots
- 90g butter
- veal shanks approx 750g
- thyme
- bay leaf
- grated lemon rind
- chopped parsley
