Gunpowder Green Tea Chai

Ingredients

  • 8 cups water
  • 3/4 cup raw sugar (1/2 cup if you want less sweet)
  • 16 whole cloves
  • 16 whole cardamom seeds, pods removed (optional)
  • 5 cinnamon sticks
  • 8 slices fresh ginger
  • 1 cup milk (better with 2% or whole)
  • 8 – 10 tsp Gunpowder tea to taste

Directions

  1. Combine the water, tea, sugar, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, and ginger into your crockpot.

  2. Cover it and cook on high for 2 hours.

  3. Strain the mixture and discard the solids.

  4. You can cover and store this chai in the fridge for 2-3 days.

  5. Stir in your milk just before serving.

  6. Can be served warm or cold.

  7. Garnish with a cinnamon stick, Enjoy!
