Simple Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 pounds of red potatoes
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 3/4 cup whipping cream

Directions

  1. Bring potatoes and cold water to cover to a boil in a large Dutch oven; boil 25 minutes or until tender. Drain.

  2. Beat potatoes at low speed with an electric mixer just until mashed. Add the butter and salt and pepper, beating until butter is melted. Gradually add cream, beating just until smooth.
