Jane’s Slow-Cooked Italian Chicken

Serves 8 people

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs. boneless, skinless chicken breast pieces
  • 1 pkg. dry Italian dressing mix
  • 10 3/4 oz. can cream of mushroom soup
  • 4 oz. can mushrooms, drained
  • 8 ozs. reduced-fat sour cream or light plain yoghurt

Directions

  1. Place chicken in slow cooker.

  2. Mix together Italian dressing mic, soup, and mushrooms. Stir into chicken.

  3. Cook o n low 6-8 hours.

  4. With a slotted spoon, lift chicken out of the cooker. Place in a covered dish and keep warm. Combine cooking juices with sour cream or yogurt in slow cooker. Cover and heat until warmed through.

  5. When ready to serve, place chicken on bed of rice or noodles and pour sauce on top.
